Mission:
  • Meetings: Monthly meetings to hear presentations by experts on the future or methods of forecasting the future, and for networking.

  • Seminars: Biannual public seminars sponsored by the chapter and open to the public.
  • Workshops: Professional development workshops.
  • Speaker Bureau: For members who make themselves available for speeches on the future.
  • Newsletter: Web based newsletter for members.
Objectives:
  • Contribute to a reasoned awareness of the future and its impact on Central Texas with emphasis on the study of the future of Central Texas and assessment of findings, without advocating particular ideologies or engaging in political activities.
  • Advance serious and responsible investigation and assessment of the future.
  • Promote the development of methods for the study of the future.
  • Facilitate communication and cooperation among organizations and individuals interested in studying or planning for the future.
  • Learn to become a better futurist.
  • Network with diverse people interested in the future.
